Community Room

Steven Davis from IFAS will be giving a talk about beekeeping, bee biology, and basic husbandry. Don't worry--no bees have been invited!

Many pollinating creatures flutter and buzz around flowers in Florida yards and gardens with honeybees being a very productive member. Honeybees are vital to Florida's agriculture, pollinating around 30% of the state's food crops. Without the movement of pollen from one flower to another hunger would be the result. If beekeeping is an interest, it's best learn and be exposed to beekeeping to see if its right for you.
