Join us for a new series in U.S. military history: Combat Chronicles. This series will follow a unit’s journey through a select conflict in United States history.

This Combat Chronicles presentation will follow the 28th Infantry Division in World War II. The 28th ID paraded through Paris, fought across northern France into Germany, and was severely battered in the Hurtgen Forrest and earned the nickname the “Bloody Bucket” Division. The 28th then fought hard in the Battle of the Bulge where it was again decimated. Subsequently, the 28th crossed the Rhine and ended its war in the Ruhr Pocket.

Partake in this presentation to learn more of the 28th Infantry Division and to learn about a tragic but often overlooked campaign in the European Theater of Operations – the Hurtgen Forrest.
